1) Taiji praying mantis http://www.chukkaitaichimantis.org/
2)mi2 zhong1 luo2 han4 http://www21.brinkster.com/wansuen/history.html
3)Dao4 jia1
I also practice Filipino kali stick and free-tyle fighting including some thai
boxing techniques, boxing, kicking, a little bit wrestling.
I am in california.I have practiced only three years though.

yang's/wu's.
I am now in southern california, but will move to bay area in the next several
months.
Maybe we can meet over there, show each other our forms, or find more fans to
practice together. Hehe.

What don't you give us some tutorials on judo/karate? Explain to us sth like
basic techniques, the empahsis, the strategies, pros and cons if campare with
other styles. So that we can have some food for thought.

Joyce Gracie won the championship several times even though the fighing is not
easy.
I do see it is an art. His opponent can gain advantages over him, can sit on
him, but gracie can lie on his back at ease and spot his opponent's weakness
and lock his opponent finally.
I am very impressed by the technique that locks the opponent's arm with two
legs while almost standing on one's head.

I think 八极拳 may be the most effective chinse style for fighting.
Do you know any resource of 八极拳 in california?
BTW, do you really think 八极拳's forms can be directly used for fighting?
Have you used it in sparring or see someone use it?

20.
I watched all of them.
Last week, they just got the last UFC video in store. The rate is pretty cheap

strongly agree with you.
I'm in the state of Ohio, don't know about in california...sorry....:(
oh yeah, I don't know about 小架 or 大架, 'cause I have not learned them yet,
but according what I know about 八大招(八个基本动作)，六大开(小套路)，金刚八式
（单操八招), every single form is effective and can be directly used in a real
fight....

Taiji is very good too, I like Chen's style, and Sun's style, because I think
they're more effective in combat, compare to other styles. But, you need to
learn it from a good master. When he/she teaches you, he/she should tell you
how to use it in the combat. At least, you should know how does the thing work
in physics theory.
I'm not saying other style not good, they are all good, I just personally feel
comfortable with chen's and sun's in combat, hehe....

发帖数: 492 | 20 我问了下我师傅，他说美国境内八极练得比较好的西岸在西雅图有个姓李的，是西安体院
毕业的，以前是马贤达的徒弟，纽约有个叫苏昱章的，Akron Ohio有个叫杨晓东的也不错
，是刘云桥的徒弟。（刘云桥是李书文的徒弟）。
还有以前加州有个叫徐纪的练得也很不错，但是不知道现在还在不在，还是已经回台北了
。
