stability and boiling point. It is a highly polar solvent and therefore it is
conductive.
It cound consist of small anions and cations, it can also consist of small
ions and polymers as counter ions.

candidates that can benefit some target reaction. And ionic liquid is
extremely expensive and it smells. If you don't have enough fundings, stay
away from such topics. hoho.

nanocrystals, and since the ions part may have some special interaction with
specific crystal plane, it may be useful for controlling the shape of crystal.
Moreover, since it has high boiling point, it may render the nanocrystals good
crystalinity.
this is one idea which comes to my mind first. I think it may have many
applications...
I do not know how expensive it is, hehe
