Hi guys,
I have met a "simple" problem in understanding polyelectrolyte multilayer.
Why it is possible to get "over-compensate of charge" when an opposite
charged polyelectrolyte is coated?
suppose you start from negatively charged latex, then dip it into positivly
charged polyelectrolyte, then you get positively chatged particles | b**s 发帖数: 589 | 2 I think you are talking about DLVO and zeta potential things.
polyelectrolyte will offer two stabilization effects, electro and steric.
the zeta potentail can be zero but there are still steric effects. try to dip
it into a positivly charged salt solution, you will find the latex will be
coagulated instead.
positivly

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Could give me some details, i can't find 1997277
multilayer.
positivly
not | c*s 发帖数: 2145 | 4
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~make sense, hmm, I agree that one should analysis the
behavior of polyelectrolyte from this startpoint, thanks buddy
dip
multilayer.
not
