poly3-HB and poly4-HB
they are biopolymers.
unfortunately they will thermodegrade at T above 150C,
very quickly.

it can be observed that the polymer degrades quickly when temp is above 150C.
Rheological curves showed the degradation is rather severe.
Don't remember what happened to pure P3.
Doi's book discussed everything on that.

I did investigate the properties of such polymers.
nothing interesting to me, considering the various crystallinities and low
degradtion T.

university to help them commercialize them. I used to process this material
once. They are pretty nasty as I remember when this molten polymer come out
from the extruder, they can not crystallize immediately. They were just like
rubber, and the pelletizer can not cut them through. For compression molding,
they are even more sticky than nylon. I think that's the reason why you guys
have to think about the crystallization o

can increase its crystallization temperature. Thus, can give a increased
crystallization rate. |
