m*******i 发帖数: 370 | 1 I just bought a house, and it has a big finished basement around 1500 sq.
The seller installed new hot water radiant heat baseboards in the basement
which is just done 1 month before I bought the house and it's never used. I
didn't tested it during the final walkthrough. Now when I try to use it. I
found that there are water leaks from the baseboard. I hired a plumber to
check it, seems the seller did a crap job just for selling the house. The
pipes run behinds the walls are plastic, and the pipe run through the
baseboard are copper. I am sure there are certain code/rule how to connect
them together, but currently the connection between the copper pipe and
plastic pipe are all wrong and leaking water. I might have to re-install all
of my baseboards (9). Can I talk to lawyer and ask seller to fix this? As
far as for my understanding heat should be the pre-requisite to sell the
house.
Any ideas or suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks a lot! | V********T 发帖数: 878 | 2 当时inspection没发现?找买房agent and attorney. | m*******i 发帖数: 370 | 3 you have to take off the cover of the baseboard to find the problem and it's
hard to notice unless experienced plumber. Thanks, have emailed my attorney
about this problem waiting for response |
