Loan approval is based upon the satisfaction of preset conditions including
income, credit and LTV. If income is gone, it directly threats future
payment ability to the bank, plus high risk of delinquent/foreclosure with
no payment for 2+ years.I would say NO bank will approve such a loan under
this circumstance. They have all their money at stake. (FHA loan may be
different.)
LZ should go talk to bank directly, to ask bank's option. And then exit the
contract with contingency.
