want to miter cut it? that is the job for a miter saw (you fix the board and
move the blade to miter cut it).
I actually did use table saw to cut 12' baseboards for miter and bevel cuts.
But the results were not good because it was very hard to push the long
boards through the blade and extremely dangerous.

miter saw as well.
If you are good at circular saw, it it enough for hardwood floor DIY. But
you must be really good at circular saw (know how to rip cut straight long
boards) in a safe way (it is more dangerous for a new DIYer than a table saw

parallel or perpendicular, you might be able to avoid table saw totally.
Even some conventional pattern floors many people manage to use Miter saw
alone, I am sure they cut the last row in their own harder way. But you are
right. Table saw can make this job much much easier.

baseboard installation. It was so inaccurate and dangerous. The problem was
that there was no way to move the long baseboard along with the miter guild
even you have a extension. My point is that for safty and good results it is
worth having a miter saw than just a table saw if people need to miter/
bevel cut very long lumbers.
New DIYers are clumpzy at power tools. You do not want to give them wrong
impressions that they can do everything on a table saw.
As a matter of fact, for DIY experts, a $50 circular saw can do all things a
table saw and a miter saw do. Can you recommend to a new DIYer to just buy
a circular saw? |

希望讨论的内容对其他人有些用，具体谁的方法最牛就不用在这儿抬杠了
