不过不管是装什么，最好的情况10-15年能把投资收回来。
卖房子的话基本上钱就白扔了。

If you go with a lot of PV panel, you are talking about a lot of the money.
Do you plan to store them in the battery or does your utility company allow
you to sell back? Crystalline silicon modules or thin-film modules?
You need to answer a lot of questions here before I can give you a meanful
suggestion.
Solar thermal collector might be a better choice for you.
Any way provide your detail info and requirement first.

So I think a solar water heater is the best thing right now, does not cost
too much to install and you can recover the investment in a few years (
depending on your location)
I used a lot of panels to heat my swimming pool, it is well worth the
investment for me.

如果是raleigh，一年省$350。
如果是atlanta，$320。

基本上光伏是钱多的人宣扬绿色才弄的。
常用的各种太阳能，唯一合算的是pool solar heater。

附近有大坝，很便宜。
加州几年就能回本，除了日照问题，还因为他们电的成本高。

generates 4000 kwh to 5000 kwh in most of the states. Only a few places with
heavy utility rebates you can get it down to 5 to 8 yrs payback on massive
scale system.
You can use PVWatts to calculate your solar output. http://rredc.nrel.gov/solar/codes_algs/PVWATTS/version1/.
If you want to get the solar incentive from the utility company, you need to
install another meter for the pv only.

西南沙漠一年不阴天下雨的地方也省不这么多。
3kw 是peak，冬天根本有1kw输出不错了，加上阴天
下雨，年平均一天能省十度电。也就是不到一块钱。
西南可以加倍。

possible to achieve the result. Although it could take a very long time to
recover the cost, but I think OP is more concerned about saving our planet
regardless of the cost.

on average annually.
Assume 1 KWH cost $0.10 (not sure the actuall price in the area, so let's
just use this for the ease of calculation)
$1,000 = 10,000 KWH
If you can average 3kw, it will take about 3334 hours to get 10,000KWH
3334 hour is 9.13 hours per day.
So if you can average 9.13 hours of sun shine per day, and you can average
3kw from all the panels, you can save $1,000.

So check with your local company, it is possible they use the same rate.
If you are thinking about using this method to produce electricity to make
money, you are going down the wrong path for sure. (unless you get the panel
very cheap)
There are so many other ways that can produce the electricity much cheaper.
If you got money and want to save our planet, go right ahead.
