标 题: Mercedes 的BRAKE 和别的车有什么特别的吗?

比方说PAD, 和ROTOR.比方说SENSOR什么的.
MECEDES的车PAD 薄了,会有ERROR MESSAGE.
DEALER的SERVICE 太贵了, 准备找SEARS 之类的换.
就是不知道一般的GARGAGE是不是完全会按原则办事.
请给普及一下. |

just checked the service i got 5 yrs ago on this car, about $600.

I did the same on my car, rear disc, new pads, about $50, 15 min labor on
each side, most of the time is spend to take off the tire. Push back the
piston also take a few minutes.

发帖数: 3318 | 12 其实换break pad 是很容易的事，没有技术含量。但就因为是break,很多人怕DIY. 而
且好几年换一次，贵点儿，就贵点儿。
自己换过的，一听要$600. 就像抢钱一样。

cash.
Just did on my Volvo in $300 including labor + parts.
Front: new pads, new disks
Rear: new pads, old disks sanded
I think he only charged me $60 for labor.
(My wife doesn't want me to touch the brake, her car or my car.)

发帖数: 2993 | 14 I had funny experiences DIY brakes. One time I lost mind and changed pads
by take off whole caliper bracket instead of just the caliper. It would be
still okay though, if I tightened all bolts afterwards. But I didn't. After
after a 1000 miles or so long trip, one bolt got lose on the way back 100
miles away from home. With just one bolts left, when I hit brake, the force
would pivot caliper out and it would scratch against wheel very hard. It was
Sunday and I couldn't find a shop open nearby. |

'01的车，除非是很特别的版本，该换新的了。

LABOR 才CHARGE $60?
着怎么着也是最少2HR的JOB 吧?
