isolationist and dovish proclivities made the region the center of
opposition to US participation in World War I and (before Pearl Harbor)
World War II and a certer of opposition to the Vietnam War.

any review came out.
The following is what I thought at the time.
The problem with Ezra Vogel's book is he just read books and re-writes it as
his own. Just mundane facts but no analysis or insight--not even his
personal views. I am very disappointed with him. I did not read Japan as No

As for your last clause, I disagree. Mao is well known. Still a writer or
writers can work hard to write a good one. For example:
Jung Chang and on Holliday, Mao Zedong, Mao: The Unknown Story. 2005.
