from others or read the man little by little.
For example, I can not make my TV (1366 x 768) connected by DVI and LCD mornitor connected by VGA cable work at the same time under Xwindows. And my system is Debian 5 and Gnome 2.2. The Xorg.conf I should edit is empty. I really do not want to write it from scratch before I finish read everything.
I still can not find the benefit of use linux. |

learn linux, get a book, and use google.
for your question, it's not debian or gnome's problem. it's you didn't set
Xorg right.
1. make sure your hardware is supported by Xorg.
2. try google xorg dual display (with or without xinerama), there are tons
of
examples available.
without xinerama setting, your dvi and vga port can display seperate desktop,
with it, you can have a continuous desktop

Linux is getter better than it was 10 years ago, but if you don't have
patient or too old to learn new things, forget it or invest your time or
buy service.

best way to learn Linux. I got a dummies book from street and use google
all the time. I can resolve the prolbem little by little, but I just want
to be a little productive during the Linux learning.
By the way I am not dare to directly ask question since this is the place
for linux users and I do not want people feel I am lazy. |

man只是一个格式，还得看谁写吧。
我的感觉，很多linux doc太臃肿。包罗万象。但要找个简单的例子确很难。
linux有些命令，性能相当一个很复杂的软件。要是什么都得从命令行来。确实够学一
阵的。

否则会很frustrated。除非你要靠这吃饭。
还是想想要拿linux干点啥。有个focus会更有成就感一点。
linux是一堆软件工具的集合。这些软件工具有时候，并不是成品。
用户使用也是这些软件开发周期的一个环节。所以每个东西，能把活干完就行了。
非要一个一个细究，类死了也学不完。
