alien是可以考的，但是不知道没有绿卡

发帖数: 12752 | 5 it is ok if you are working in an IP law firm. Without a greencard, you can
pass the test and register yourself in USPTO as long as you keep your work
in the current firm. All these info is included in the manual of patent bar
test.
After switching to another firm, you second firm needs to file some form to
USPTO to remain your registeration status. |

以前好像听说过有非PR在summer就考了patent bar，看来不正确
