base at NJ. (The landlord promised us to stay at least three months and
after that a month-to-month base). When we moved in, the landlord promised
to give us a lease two weeks later (The landlord lives in NY and she needs
two weeks to have the lease ready). She asked us for $1300 per month plus
one and half month deposit.
Since the landlord does not live in NJ and we have not known her address in
NY, we put the rent check i | c**d 发帖数: 3888 | 2 Try to condense your story if you want help. | c******n 发帖数: 4965 | 3 the last sentence:

yourself by calling her to explain that you tried your best to move out ASAP
. There was a reason that she was angry and found out why.
Also, you will not be able to get any magic advice on this board to solve
this problem. If you want to pursue legal recourse, retain a NJ licensed
lawyer and pay probably anywhere from $200 (for a letter to your landlord)
to several thousands (or more) for a prolonged legal battle.
