Position Summary:
We have an opening for a Staff Accountant to work in a growing tax and
accounting firm located in San Mateo, California. The Staff Accountant is
primarily responsible for preparing individual, partnership, S corporate, C
corporate, foreign tax returns, assisting in client management and practice
development activities, and our clients' bookkeeping work with limited
oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare tax returns for individual, partnership, corporate, and
foreign tax clients.
• Research and consult on various tax matters; utilize tax-related
software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters.
Required Skills and Experience:
• BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Two plus years experience in accounting or relevant experience
and extensive knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong tax and accounting skills with proficiency in tax return
preparation, and experience in the preparation of financial statements.
• Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite,
Quickbooks, and Lacerte.
• Bilingual in spoken and written Chinese is required
• Ability to work additional hours as needed during tax season.
