POSITION SUMMARY:
As a top 10 mortgage originator, PHH Mortgage is looking for top talent to
strengthen our Risk Analytics team. You’ll have great opportunities to hone
your technical and analytical skills; transforming them into tremendous
business value. You’ll be responsible for analyzing, testing, implementing
and reporting current and new strategies. Key responsibilities include
developing web-based platform and automated reports to monitor risk,
updating critical business reports, performing in-depth analyses on PHH’s
mortgage portfolio, and interacting with different teams including IT,
Accounting, Origination, Pricing and Operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Effectively solve problems through analytics.
• Develop web-based user interface
• Develop and maintain functional databases
• Develop automated reporting
• Perform ad hoc analyses and generate reports
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Origination, Pricing, and
other teams to ensure efficient business process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Degrees in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, computer
science or other engineering major with strong programming training
• Strong programming experience, including one or more scripting
languages, such as VBA, JavaScript, Python, Perl, or PHP
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving
skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills, capable of
explaining complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
• Conscientious and reliable with strong work ethic and integrity
• Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment
• Self motivated, able to manage competing priorities in a fast
paced work environment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Previous web development experience preferred
• Previous mortgage experience preferred
