Title: Web /Graphic Designer Intern
Reporting to: Marketing Communications Manager
Location: Lincolnshire, IL
Date: July 01, 2011
Description:
The Graphic Designer will report to the Marketing Communications Manager.
The Graphic Designer will participate in the development and maintenance of
company Web Assets, Marketing Literature, Advertisements, and Concept Images
for use with various company marketing initiatives.
The Graphic Designer will provide support for the following areas as well as
for other projects as defined by the Marketing Communications Manager and
Management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Web Development
- Develop HTML and PDF documents and PHP forms for use on company website
. Must apply proper SEO technique when developing new website content.
- Support of multi-lingual web activity, content publishing, and creation
of various templates and graphic assets, online forms, and landing pages
for use with the Hubspot Web Management System.
- Support Global Spec and Thomasnet outside vendor catalog database
solutions.
- Maintain change records and archives for all company web-marketing
literature and documentation.
Graphic Design
- Creation and maintenance of various graphic materials for use in the
fulfillment of the company Media Plan.
- Maintenance of corporate Image Library including but not limited to all
sourced images, original photography, and original artwork created or owned
by company.
Training and Presentation Materials
- Assist in the development and production of company webinar, sales
presentation, and sales meeting materials.
- Development of instructional design elements and training aids for use
in external and internal training, including a blend of Pro-E and original
imaging.
New Product Launch
- Assist in the preparation and development of literature and sales tools
in support of new product releases.
Tradeshows
- Assist in the preparation of various display graphics, Flash videos,
and giveaway graphics.
Qualifications and Experience
- 1 year of experience in developing and maintaining a company website
- 1 year of experience developing graphics and materials on both a PC
Platform and Macintosh Platform.
- 1 years of experience with Desktop Publishing procedures
- Familiarity with technical drawings, engineering language, Pro-Engineer
, and the hydraulic field a plus.
Personal and Professional Skills
Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, must be able to
communicate and collaborate with various levels of management.
Experience with the following software programs:
Proficiency with all Microsoft office tools
Adobe Photoshop CS4 / CS5
Adobe Illustrator CS4 / CS5
Adobe Flash CS4 / CS5
Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Dreamweaver
Adobe InDesign
Quark Xpress
Trados
Drupal CMS or Arbortext experience a plus
Familiarity with CSS, HTML, SEO Practices, Digital Imaging platforms. |
