JOB TITLE: Biomedical Market Specialist(生物医学市场主管)
DEPARTMENT: Instron China Sales / Strategy
Key Responsibilities:
* Identifies application specifications and market trends in the bio-market
and works closely with Business Teams and Engineering to strategically
develop and promote needed products and services to ensure maximum market
penetration and development.
* Work with Business Teams and MARCOM to create necessary sales aids and
support collateral to maximize sales effectiveness for bio markets and to
grow market awareness for all bio accounts.
* Development of new accounts and in particular nominated target accounts.
* Works with biomedical Management team to define and implement marketing/
promotional programs and initiatives specific to the medical device and
biomaterials market segments.
* Develop, maintain and publish the biomedical key account list which will
be reviewed bi-annually in consultation with global biomedical and local
Sales Management. Objective is to develop good long term working
relationships with these customers regardless of whether or not they are
actively purchasing at any given point in time.
* Indirect responsibility for all activity within the Key Accounts.
* Working together with local and International Instron Sales Team members (
selling other Instron products) to manage leads, ensure professional hand-
over, and maximize sales.
* Provide instrument and software demonstrations with biomedical application
orientation.
* Deliver and maintain local internal training materials for the bio-market
and products.
* Understands and embraces Instron’s strong quality commitments and works
with all sales team members as well as all other facets of the organization
to ensure the highest levels in internal and external customer satisfaction.
* Helps identify and document competitive advantages in specific biomedical
applications and market niches.
* Create visual mapping of Chinese Regulatory approval process for medical
devices and biomaterials and establish relationships with key individual
that are part of that process.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
•Must have solid verbal, quantitative, technical, and interpersonal
skills typically acquired through completion of a technical Bachelor’s
Degree, preferably in engineering or biomaterials engineering. Advanced
degree preferred.
•Must have in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of medical device market and
business which would normally be acquired from post-graduate education or 5
-7 years business experience in the medical device and biomaterials fields.
•Must have understanding of sales processes and negotiating techniques
to work strategically with local sales teams within the medical device &
biomaterials accounts.
•Must have solid English speaking and writing capabilities; especially
around the medical device and biomaterials industries.
•Requires knowledge of Instron’s products, customer applications, and
internal regulatory product approval process for medical devices in China.
•Must have good communication skills as well as solid experience in
the use of standard Microsoft Office software.
Working Conditions:
Office environment with little or no exposure to adverse conditions. Must
be able to travel up to 60% of the time.
