Job Description:
Sears builds and operates a global eCommerce Platform that powers a range of
websites including multi-merchant marketplaces like Sears.com, Kmart.com
and MyGofer.com. Extending the reach of this core platform to power a broad
range of applications is fundamental to the growth of Sears as a technology
product company.
The Product Manager is responsible for leading the marketing program and
work on other initiatives related to seller experience of the Marketplace
platform. The position has high visibility to senior leadership. The ideal
candidate pays much attention to details but also sees the big picture and
overall goal, makes effective decisions and be able to make things happen.
The person should also have the comfort understanding and discussing
architectural concepts, have demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional
teams with influence versus direct management, and have the track record of
successfully delivering results.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements:
• Work closely with engineering and business leadership, internal
and key external partners to define and deliver the product vision.
• Process map current processes, understanding gaps, challenges and
opportunities and drive solutions /plans to address.
• Continually optimize the product and feature roadmap and manage
prioritization and trade-offs among user experience, time-to-market, and
operational support load.
• Conduct some or all of the following: requirements definition,
competitive and market analysis, benefit and cost analysis, oversee user
experience design, partner with engineering teams on technical
specifications, development, testing, and launch efforts.
• Manage the prioritization and backlog of feature requests,
conduct scoping estimates and be the primary point of contact for technical
teams on-site or remote based.
• Be the subject matter expert and communicate product
features effectively to internal business partners and external partners,
and provide knowledge support when needed.
Years Experience: 2 - 5 Years Experience
Preferred Minimum Education: Bachelors Level Degree required, Masters
Level Degree preferred
