for a strong
Mobile Platform Engineer. The ideal candidate will be passionate about
solving the
toughest software challenges and have a proven record of delivering highly
operable
and maintainable software on time. You will have relentlessly high standards
for
yourself and everyone you work with and constantly looking for ways to
improve the
systems you own. As a member of the VIPShop US R&D Center, you will be a key
contributor to VIPShop’s cutting edge technology stacks, with focus on
nextgeneration
mobile infrastructure and frameworks. You will have the opportunity to
work for the fastest growing eCommerce business in China, and enable
innovation
across such a large community of loyal users.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Design, develop VIPShop’s next-generation mobile platforms (iOS/
Android/
Hybrid) that power its rapidly growing mobile eCommerce business
• Closely watch industry trend, and adopt the latest and greatest
mobile or
wearable device technologies within VIPShop companies across the globe
• Initiate innovative mobile products, research strategic device
technologies to
gain competitive edge over competitors
• Other usual engineering activities – requirement analysis, scoping,
prioritization, planning, coding, bug fixing, documentation, and having fun!
Job Requirements
• Technical Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• 7+ years of iOS, Android or Hybrid/Cross-Platform (PhoneGap, Sencha
Touch,
Zepto, JQuery Mobile, etc.) mobile development experiences
• 3+ years of experiences as a mobile tech lead or architect
• Working knowledge of the latest web presentation technologies (HTML5
, CSS3,
JavaScript/AJAX) and Javascript frameworks (Angular, Ember, Backbone,
JQuery, etc.)
• Knowledge of RDBMS/NoSQL Databases, SOA/Web Services, and Node.js is
a
plus
• Great architecture sense, very familiar with design patterns, OO
modeling
principles, and software engineering methodologies
• A track record of building successful mobile apps
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to
describe
complex concepts in a concise fashion
• Bilingual in English and Chinese is a plus
