Description:
Applies proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT pro
cesses through careful testing. Ensure the testing activities allow applicat
ions to meet business requirements and system goals, fulfill end-user requir
ements, and identify existing or potential issues.
Collaborates with software/system personnel in application testing, such as
system, unit regression load and acceptance testing methods; creates and exe
cutes test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application perform
ance according to specifications; communicates test progress, test results,
and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
Responsibilities:
o Document Business Requirements
o Build test cases based on the business requirements
o Write test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes
o Perform data analysis to develop data reconciliation requirements and inve
stigate issues
o Produce high quality detailed business requirements and functional specifi
cations
o Work with technology partners to ensure understanding of the business requ
irements
o Identify, develop and implement process improvements.
o Track progress of the project through all phases and provide frequent proj
ect updates to stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Enginee
ring, Mathematics, Physics or related field. Masters degree preferred
o Minimum 2 years of experience in Banking / Financial Services industry.
o Experience in developing business requirements & functional specification
documents, building UAT test plans, UI screen mockups, process / system flow
diagrams, data flow diagrams, use cases, test strategy documents and test c
ases.
o Experience with a software development cycle and quality management techni
ques
o Experience with testing methodologies including translating high-level use
r needs into detailed use cases.
o Experience with data analysis in SAS ( preferred)
o Knowledge of financial products such as MBS and derivatives
o Ability to interface directly with business users and stakeholders
o Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate and work towards mutu
ally agreed solutions and processes.
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
o Proficient in Microsoft Excel, VBA, C++, SQL, Unix, Shell Scripts |
