Project Description:
· This project is developing UMTS and LTE data mediation platforms
that will provide data to drive multiple downstream applications.
· The supported application areas include performance monitoring,
troubleshooting, self organizing network (SON), RAN optimization, and
location-based services.
Job Description:
· Assist with the development of UMTS and LTE data mediation
platforms and provide systems engineering support for several downstream
application areas.
· This position develops requirements and solutions by working
directly with Operations and Engineering clients to understand their needs
· Works with multiple vendors to assess current tools and to
identify gaps for the purpose of identifying new capabilities required by AT
&T; develops prototypes for proof of concept; analyzes performance, impacts,
and costs; and makes recommendations for future tools.
· Required skills include at least a Masters degree in a technical
field, expertise with wireline and wireless network protocols, e.g., GTP,
MAC, PHY, NAS,RRC, S1-MME, SIP, RTP, RTCP, RTCP-XR, etc., hands-on
experience with existing tools, e.g., Wireshark, scripting tools, modeling
tools, parsing tools, etc., and experience with UMTS and LTE KPIs, their
composition, where measurements come from, etc.
· The candidate should be responsible and detail-oriented and
possess good written and oral communication skills and team-work. |
