The Lehn Institute of Functional Materials (LIFM) is an international
institute founded by Sun Yat-Sen University associated with the Laboratory
of Supramolecular Chemistry at ISIS of Université de Strasbourg and INT of
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The honorary director is Nobel laureate,
Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic post-
doctoral scientists to join this institute.
We seek to appoint three Postdoctoral Research Associates with experimental
background and prior experience in synthetic organic chemistry, or
supramolecular material chemistry. You will be based at LIFM, working at
either University of Strasbourg, or Karlsruhe Institute of Nanotechnology,
or Sun Yat-Sen University under the guidance of Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn, Prof.
Dieter Fenske, and in collaboration with a team of organic or inorganic
chemists.
These positions are grant funded by LIFM of Sun Yat-Sen University. This is
an opportunity to join a high level, international research group in
synthetic, supramolecular and material chemistry.
Some of the requirements are:
1. recent PhD graduate in chemistry and material chemistry
2. focused, highly motivated individual with record of productive research
3. demonstrated ability to participate in research collaborations at local
and international levels
4. ability to work well independently or as a member of a team, and to
conduct research/scholarly activities under limited supervision
5. good written and verbal communication skills
6. experience in writing research papers and presentation of seminars
7. published research as a sole author or (co-author???) in collaboration.
The positions are full-time fixed-term for two years. The successful
appointee could choose the working place (INT, ISIS or LIFM) depending on
the requirement of the project and in agreement with the principal
investigators.
Remuneration package: ¥80,000-240,000 - p.a. including leave. Some
additional salary and fund support may be available for the successful
appointee depending on the working place.
