Position Description
Job Title: Plant Supervisor
Reports To: General Manager
Status: Full Time
JOB DUTIES
1. Supervising daily manufacturing operation.
2. Arranging production and sanitation according to production plan.
3. Controlling quality of materials and production process to ensure the
quality target.
4. Enforcing GMP to meet the health department and USDA requirement.
5. Taking care of receiving of materials.
6. Controlling inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, work in
process and finished goods.
7. Arranging delivery of finished goods according to schedule.
8. Training, coaching and disciplining production employees.
9. Monitoring equipment condition.
10. Fulfilling other assignments from general manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Computer knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good organizing & management skills and leadership required.
• Be able to work overtime.
• Understand production process, personnel arrangement, material
handling and certain machine operating.
• Understand inventory control and warehouse management.
• Knowledge in food handling and GMP.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum high School and Associate Degree is preferred. 3+ years of
supervisory experience in a manufacturing/food processing environment and
thorough working knowledge in food handling and GMP is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as SSOP, safety rules,
operating and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence; Bilingual in English/Chinese or English/Spanish is a must.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages, and draw and interpret
statistic charts. |
