JOB DESCRIPTION
We are a stealth mode AI start-up based in Palo Alto, California. We aim to
educate and empower industries to utilize cutting-edge AI and IoT
technologies to deliver a positive impact to the people, services, and
environment within those industries. The company is backed by Stanford
University as well as world-class investors including Sequoia Capital and
Greylock Partners.
We are seeking world-class computer vision experts to join our team in
developing next generation products and platforms to tackle challenging but
exciting real-world problems. You should be comfortable with a high degree
of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving real world problems at large
scale. You will work on new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the
foundation of our current and future products. You will focus on taking new
technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating,
prototyping and developing softwares.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop novel and accurate computer vision algorithms and systems, using
deep
learning and/or conventional computer vision techniques.
● Evaluate and implement the state-of-art algorithms from recent top-tier
conference papers.
● Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of deployed
systems.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams from prototyping, iterating to
production-level software development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
● Master degree or Ph.D. degree in computer science or similar field with 3
+ years of experience with published projects in the fields of machine
learning, deep learning and computer vision.
● Experienced with training deep neural network using platform such as
PyTorch
and Tensorflow.
● Experience in performance and optimization of computer vision/ machine
learning or image processing software modules.
● Fluent in high level programming language such as Python, Go.
● Hands-on experience with building commercial computer vision projects
from the level of prototyping to the level of production.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Proven track record of achieving results as demonstrated by first-
authored
publications at conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH or similar.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Experience developing novel algorithms in the following:
○ Human pose estimation
○ Video action recognition
○ Semantic segmentation
○ Object detection
○ Cross domain adaptation for rapid model transfer across domains.
○ Transfer learning including few shot learning
○ Deep adversarial networks.
● 3+ years experience developing software in C++ for real-time applications.
● Experience with developing on mobile/embedded platform with tools such as
Tensorflow Lite, CoreML, NNPack, Android NDK, TVM, armv7 NEON.
● Experience working with math performance libs (e.g. IPP, MKL) and CPU
optimization methods (e.g. assembly SIMD instructions).
