Responsibilities:
• Identify effective AI and ML approaches for robotic applications in
the company, propose and take ownership AI and ML projects
• Research and develop leading-edge technologies in applied AI and ML
for robotics
• Hands-on development of core algorithms, systems and working
prototypes
• Present results and transfer prototypes and technologies to product
and engineering organizations
• Drive the technology development road in AI and ML of the company
Basic Qualifications:
• MS/PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering or related fields
• Broad knowledge and deep understanding of machine learning and AI
theory
• Expert in one of the following machine learning: Deep Neural Network
, Rulebased System, Reinforcement Learning, (Probabilistic) Logic
Programming
• Deep knowledge in knowledge engineering including ontology
development, knowledge representation, large knowledge base management
• Expertise in reasoning technologies including but not limited to
Bayesian Networks, Markov Logic Networks and common sense reasoning and
inference.
• Extensive hands-on development experience on core algorithm/system
in one of the following: speech recognition, image recognition, NLP,
knowledge-base, inference & reasoning engine, (agent/robot) action planning;
within commercial/ industry R&D setting
• Strong in math, sharp on coding, experienced with Linux development
environment
• Passion for solving very complex technical problems with a 'can-do'
attitude and creative & critical thinking
• Proven records in solving ambiguous and/or under-defined problems
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficient in one of the following: C/C++, Scala, Go, Prolog,
ProbLog
• Experience with well-known software libraries (Octave, TensorFlow,
Caffe, Apach Common Math, Boost, OpenCV, ROS, etc)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Know-how on RDF, SPARQL and their implementations on NoSQL DB
• Experience of writing production code for commercial end-user
applications
• Experience of building simulation software for real-world system
• Experience of algorithm development for robots
• Knowledge and experience with robot hardware and drivers
• Good knowledge on basic physics, kinematics | m********u
