Major Responsibilities:
Design, code, and test enhancements for stream analytics software. Plan and
manage engineering tasks within projects,perform related requirements
analysis, performance analysis, and problem analysis. As needed, establish
technical direction for feature development, and with SMEs develop new
product functionalities.
The required skills for this position include:
• Responsibility for architecture, design, development of enhancements
and sustenance for the streaming data.
• Participate in planning, design, code, test and documentation of
major software components according to a standard development process.
• Strong analytical abilities involving complex software in a parallel
processing environment.
• Projects will consist of multiple team members and the candidate
will be expected to work closely with other team members.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn new technologies
Required knowledge
• Work as part of high-impact team at back end project
• Design and implement data analytics APIs
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience
with Python or C++/Java is a must, other languages will also be considered
• Hands-on experience in Big Data Components/Frameworks, such as
Hadoop, Spark, HBase, HDFS, Hive, NoSQL databases etc
• Knowledge of HDFS ecosystem and tools
• Experience with automation tools like Chef, Puppet
• Development or tuning experience with Kafka, Spark, or yarn
Minimum Requirements:
U.S. College Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the foreign
