Qualcomm may be go up or down. Who knows.
I don't think you mean Qualcomm's sr principal.
Both are good/solid chip companies, but don't expect to compare with s/w
ones.

should be "technical associated director" or above. Comparing title name
between two different companies doesn't make sense.
I don't fully agree that simply saying brcm is falling and no-brainer to
qualcomm.
After cutting the losing-money mobile division, the brcm's remaining parts (
wifi, brandband, networking) are very strong and market/technology dominant.
if they cut people in the near future, I guess those are the mobile support
team which is for supporting existing customer and fade away.
For Qualcomm, I see more pressures are coming and mobile market is to mature
. It is also very hard for qualcomm to go into the new market.
From compensation, I think in short term, Qualcomm is better than Brcm. Brcm
cannot afford to give much refresh rsu and cash bonus each year |
