根據網站 gigaom 的消息來源指出，Qualcomm 將會在近期有一波裁員的動作，受到影
響的可能是中階管理層。
Qualcomm 其實面對著 MediaTek 在低價市場的競爭，特別是中國市場，除了 MediaTek
，同時還有 Rockchip 等在地行動處理器廠削價搶市，Qualcomm 在高階意外的產品，
並沒有太大的優勢。此外，Samsung 以及 Apple 都在建立自己的地盤，並不全仰賴著
這家在美國矽谷的公司。
這些挑戰或許可以解釋 Qualcomm 為何冷淡應付 2013 第四季財政年度報告，同時也預
期公司的成長或許不如華爾街所期望的高。

PROMOTE的快.

不要都说Qualcomm是黑窑子吧，Broadcomm也好不到哪儿去。
不过据说Qualcomm部门不一样，工作强度也不一样。R&&D比较好一点。总的特色是时间
较flexible但由于deadlin订的aggressive，所以想混也混不了。在那个环境里，老板
比你还卖命，你能说什么呢。也就跟着看吧。至少job security还不错吧。
不管怎么说，Qualcomm每年都被评为全美最好的工作单位之一。我们的Qualcomm朋友都
不知道那是怎么评的。
资本家都是一样的。不逼你干活他自己就被逼着下课了。
我LG公司本来是9X9 (一天工作九小时，每隔一周休一天星期五。）结果老板发现不给
员工休那个礼拜五，他们照样得每天干九小时，就把那9×9取消了。 |

clarification，免得大家浪费时间和心思，和大家预期不一样。
因为不能把所有的简历都上交，所以，我会简单的过滤一下，我尽可能回复大家，如果
没有回应，那实在不好意思的，因为我也不可能一一去问原因，先解释一下的。
#1）Position 应该是engineer level, （senior engineer不是说没有可能，但是机会
很小）因为，不是很想要Senior或者Staff Level，说直接点，就要找能真正干活的了
，唉，辛苦活了，呵呵。
#2）老板是印度人，如果大家有concern，可以pass掉。大家也知道qualcomm 印度人多
。我也是不希望再有印度人进来这个位置，所以，才贴到这里来。
#3) Position 是 application engineer, 不是Software engineer，区别就是，

等Qualcomm 3G/4G芯片在iphone里面有了位置，再集成个wifi/BT，很有可能把
Broadcom的wifi芯片从iphone里面踢出去。
Broadcom一直在3G/4G这块追赶Qualcomm，现在Qualcomm也回马一枪。

there were any this kind of commercial world phones in US? I know there
are plenty in China though.
Except if it can make a special loyalty agreement with Qualcomm, it
doesn't make much sense for Apple making this kind of phones. At least
two reasons. 1) CDMA chipset is expensive in general, since its eco-
system is not very healthy. 2) You need pay more CDMA loyalties to

部门要找一个GPS的应用工程师，昨天刚post到qualcomm的open position上，结果倒好
，现在老板给的简历3个印度人，一个韩国人，我实在是不想让印度和韩国人得逞的。
不过有人会说qualcomm是印度人的天下，有些对吧，但是，总是不招我们中国人，更没
有戏了。
看自己了，有兴趣的赶紧投简历，我知道这个位置确实要找人，挺急的，我们比较亏的
就是export lience可能会耽误3个月，有可能是负面因素的。

最后连小米都开始用自己的cpu了，除了些Sony这种三线小公司基本都不敢用丫的chip,

发帖数: 174 | 44 最近看了不少人问起Qualcomm的面试内容，好像版上的考古也的确不多，那我就也说说
我的一些面Qualcomm的经历吧，半年以来电面过4次，onsite过两次，第一次在今年初
，当时没有认真开始找工作被印度人拷问得比较惨；三月底的时候校园面试两次，曾拿
过一个他们的intern offer，不过后来因为来不及办Export Licence，结果没去
先从今天的onsite说起：
这次遇到印度人还是比较nice，当我有的问题一时没有答上来的时候还是尽量会将我往
正确的答案引导。Qualcomm始终是印度人的天下，同半年前一样，也是面了五个印度人
，只有中午吃饭那个是个白人。他们组是做服务器的，对分布式系统，网络编程要求比
较高，主要用C++；而我对C++只是局限于懂一些应付面试的概念上，但是也不得不硬着
头皮上了。
一开始先见HR，HR当然不会忘记大力推荐他们的福利如何好之类。
印度人1: 主要问Project做过什么，如何创建一个TCP socket，写出流程, 什么是死锁

现在联系不上律师，LP星期一申GC，说需要我的I-94表。
我现在还是OPT，有一个08年12月批的F1 VISA（早已经EXPIRE了）,当时I-94还订在上面
H1B已经批了，但10月才生效，现在有一个律师寄给我的NOTICE里的i-94表，正面已经写
了‘QUALCOMM PETITION’。
有2个问题想请教大家：
1. 我现在的身份(OPT)，需要交哪个I-94呢？还是全部都交？
2. 如果只交QUALCOMM的I-94，背面需要写东西吗？还是直接提交就可以了（因为正面
已经有公司信
息）？

发帖数: 204 | 47 话说Qualcomm最近真是招人很厉害，小弟也找工作有段时间了，终于拿到了个大公司
onsite。
闲话少说，职位的名字是：Power Systems - Verification/Integration Engineer (
all levels)
通过phone interview的面试官（staff engineer，也就是未来的上司）的问题和跟他
聊天，了解到，实际上他是需要一名能和他做一样工作的人，也就是用verilog做FPGA
和micro controller 的design。问的我一些digital circuit和编程的相关很多问题，
基本问题不大，interviewer也比较满意。
但是onsite会有5-7个小时，也被告知会被问到很多方面的基础知识，比如anaglog, RF
等等。我也曾有同学跟我说 Qualcomm onsite 被问到傅立叶变换等等，这要问我就真
晕了，本科一直没好好学，来这边也一直主攻digital logic circuit。不过为了准备
面试也得硬着头皮上啊
