Description:
Responsibility
In this position, you will be responsible for researching and implementing
advanced audio processing algorithms, including adaptive noise cancellation,
acoustic echo cancellation, graphic equalization, etc. You will work in the
audio DSP team to define algorithms, work with digital and analog design
teams to implement such algorithms in CMOS, and work with application
engineers to test the effectiveness of algorithms. You will also interact
with customers to learn about their requirements, and tailor your algorithms
towards their needs.
Requirements
Solid understanding of audio post-processing algorithms for portable, tv and
home-theatre application. These algorithms include acoustic echo
cancellation, ambient noise cancellation, 3D sound synthesis, asynchronous
sample rate conversion, Stereo Enhancement, Parametric and Graphics
Equalizer, Dynamic Range Compression & Expansion and many more.
Must be familiar with various Dolby and DTS algorithms
Versatile in Matlab and c-code development.
Expert in emulation and performance verification of audio algorithms on FPGA
/embedded processor systems.
Must have a good understanding of class-D/AB/G audio amplifiers operation
and principle.
Must have a good understanding of basic DSP concepts such as z-domain, FIR
and IIR filters, stability principles. Knowledge of noise shaping and PWM
modulation is a plus
The candidate will write specification documents for audio algorithms and
will advice the design team on hardware development. Knowledge of digital
design principles is a plus.
Must have good communication and documentation skills
