要求: Solid CS fundamentals; Better to have Java or ruby experience; Big
data or advertising industry experience is a plus.
面试题目跟其他大公司都差不多，就是data structure, algorithm，problem solving
, white-board coding etc. Groupon办h1b和绿卡，也支持relocation

Display Advertising – Software Development Engineer

exceptional software engineers at our new Seattle development center who

passion for crafting a new evolution in local commerce.
The Display Advertising Team is part of this revolution. We are looking for
world-class
engineers who will build a large-scale sophisticated advertising platform
that deals with
lots of big data and various signals to make complex decisions in real-time.
Our goal
is to drive a huge volume of highly targeted traffic to Groupon and help us
achieve the
highest ROI possible.
As part of the Display Advertising Team you will work on a high performance,
scalable
infrastructure for creating, buying and delivering display ads. You will
design complex
targeting and bidding algorithms by utilizing all related variables in real-
time bidding
(RTB) environment. And you will automate creative generation and campaign
management, all while dealing with huge amounts of big data to make data
driven
decision. To maximize ROI you will need to build efficient A/B testing
systems.
To qualify for this role we are looking for a person with:
• 5 years of software design experience, preferably dealing with large
amounts of
data and RTB solutions already.
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Expert proficiency in at least one compiled language (Java preferred
) and one
dynamic scripting language (Ruby preferred).
• Deep experience with SQL or NoSQL databases and building high-
throughput
applications.
• Familiarity with Agile development process, TDD/BDD, and *NIX
development
environments.
• Experience in building display-advertising system is a big plus. |
