应该是貌似吧

the pipe dream of free open source software will eventually die.

alive. Without Spring, hibernate that led to EJB3, Struts that led to
JSF. We are stuck with JSP, Servlet and EJB2.x, and people would have jumped
into RoR camp without hesitation.

| w*****d 发帖数: 2415 | 10 Can RoR sustain itself in the long run without eventually charging license
fee? Would you company make your proprietary software free to the customers?
Can you walk to your boss's desk and tell him that you are willing to work
for free because you are having fun and making the world a better place?
IMHO, RoR is not as competitive as Java and I would pay for a few hundred
dollars for a stable programming language with extensive documentation that
I use everyday, instead of betting my career with

| g*****g 发帖数: 34805 | 13 No, JSF sucks. And it needs other framworks like seam just to
not suck as much. But it's still an improvement over raw jsp and
servlet. All I am saying is struts inspires web frameworks including
jsf.

charge for delivery, consulting, booking sales, certification, training
etc. You can even be open source and charge for licensing.

| w*****d 发帖数: 2415 | 15 I think you need to take a look at this article, I never said Sun can't make
money on Java and Java-related projects, but not enough to turn a profit.
Ask yourself, how much money you spent on Java in the past few years? | g*****g 发帖数: 34805 | 16 And what really Sun has contributed to Java communities in recent years?
JSF, most overrated underapplied web framework.
EJB3, finally some good immitation of spring and hibernate but we can live
without it.
JavaFX, would be a good applet 2.0 around 2000, but too little too late now.
Sun could have,
1. Focus on what Java is leading, forget JavaFx, that's a market already
lost
2. Acquire good java technology when they are first available and make them
standards. If Sun acquires spring, hibernate

even Flash/Flex. but now it's 10 years late and i'm not sure it will ever
catch up.
