because you don’t lose earnings and the money still goes toward your
retirement, and you will get a tax deduction for your contribution.
If you don't qualify for Traditional IRA, you can withdraw the extra
contribution and any earnings before tax deadline without penalty. The
earnings will be reported as income. |

IRA. You just can't deduct the contribution if you or your spouse is covered
by a retirement plan at work and your income is too high.
However, assuming you did not previously have any money in a pre-tax IRA,
you can convert it to Roth IRA (effectively a backdoor Roth IRA contribution
) with little or not tax.

我存了全额traditional IRA(帐户里本已有前些年的rollover的钱),是去年中期存
的(for 2018)。

Traditional IRA

Traditional IRA
Traditional
deduct Traditional IRA contribution。
married filing jointly,你自己不covered by retirement plan at work,但是你配
偶covered by retirement plan at work,你要deduct Traditional IRA
Roth IRA
