If I lost my paper bond, can I ask the government to replace it?

If you buy iBond on Oct 31st, you will start earning the interest starting
on Oct 1st.
Every iBone is linked to a person's SSN, this means it can be traced. There
is a form to fill but I think it is free. I never lost my iBond, you can go
