1) size is larger than $10k.
2) Majorly holds and trades stocks/ETFs, less than 30 trades per
year.
3) Will not purchase MFs unless they are good, no load, low cost
and there is no commission.
4) The total expenses of the above should not pass $30/yr -- which
zecco.com charges.
So basically I want to know if there is a way to cut the cost
below $30/yr. I currently use firstrade which charges $7 per trade.

style requires something more volatile than the index since I usually
hold a bunch of cash. With Fidelity's ETFs it can also work out but
I have to adjust my trading strategy which is a challenge.
It's best if I can trade stocks for free.

the interest loss. Yes, 30 free trades per month is nice but currently
30 trades per year seem enough for me in IRA.
I'd prefer to lose the extra flexibility in exchange of lower cost.

比如你可以有IRA, roth, taxable individual, taxable joint,
living trust...每个都可以有100。
加起来月底够$25k就可以免月费。

I had Vanguard, Scottrade, Schwab IRA before. Now I only use WF.
It has the benefits of other IRA combined. You can buy almost
all no-load MF (including Vanguard and Fidelity) and stock too.
The only weakness is $25K balance requirement and so-so user interface.
If your combined balance is > $25k and you are not a day trader,
it is the #1 choice.

is not bad. I don't trade much and IRA is only $10K, so I chose scottrade.
Plus, it has no annual account fee and no fee for account closing. |
