My point is that 14 MFs in your 401K is not necessarily as bad as you
thought.

If so, it may not be a good choice for people with already high tax bucket o
r living in a high-taxed state.

tax implication. so be careful not to expend your before-tax ira base,
such as the roll-over ira.

For people's pre-tax 401K, rolling over to Traditional IRA should not have
any tax implication, since every dollar is still pre-tax anyway. But
converting to Roth will trigger a huge taxable income in the conversion year
. Is that right?
I see you mentioned after-tax non-deductible IRA. What's the point of
contributing to that? I do not see any benefits.
