I have my own website, but I would like to buy a domain so it's easier for
people to find my website.
ex:
say my current website is www.mitbbs.com/~iamreal
and now I want to buy a domain like www.iamreal.com
so when people click on www.iamreal.com , they can still go to the my website.
Would anyone direct me how to do it?
i) cheap domain seller
ii) connect the new domain to my website
iii)other concerns?

把它映射到我的IP还要另付钱(5.99/year)。

I bought my domain name fmom 1and1, they provide web forwarding and
email forwarding, it is very cheap.

后来用的 registerfly.com 的， 又便宜又好。 域名全管理，IP映射, URL转向.. 吐血

我用dreamhost.com，第一年$9.00+，2.4G空间，120G带宽，MySql等支持，还赠一个域名
。不过明年又要涨。
要求了refund.
