其实找过推荐人的都明白，同意写信并且好说话的独立推荐人多数也是之前就认识或者
通过熟人引荐能搭上关系的

，后来我回了一封邮件解释了一下这两人都愿意写了：
I am currently a XXX. To continue my research here, I plan to submit an
application to obtain the Permanent Residency in U.S. One requirement of the
application is reference from independent researchers. As you may know, one
typical way for applicant to find independent referrers is from the authors
who cited his publications. Given that you are a recognized expert in this
field and we have the similar research interests, you are a perfect and
qualified scientist to judge my work.

By the way, you don’t have to be a U.S. citizen to write a letter for me.
The purpose of independent reference is to objectively judge my scientific
work from people who does not know me personally. If you would kindly help,
I will draft and send you a recommendation letter for you to review and sign.
