Technical Instructions for Panel Physicians and Civil Surgeons
The Division of Global Migration and Quarantine provides the Department of
State (DOS) and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) with
medical screening guidelines (referred to as Technical Instructions) for all
examining physicians, which outline in detail the scope of the medical
examination.
News & Updates
The Other Sexually Transmitted Diseases Technical Instructions were replaced
with the Gonorrhea Technical Instructions. The Gonorrhea Technical
Instructions are to be followed by panel physicians as soon as possible and
no later than October 1, 2016 and by civil surgeons for gonorrhea screening
and treatment as soon as possible and no later than August 1, 2016.
