d*********1 发帖数: 142 | 1 My situation is that I don't know the specific date of leaving, maybe May or
June this year and I am not sure how long I stay in China, maybe several
months, maybe one year or more.
My questions are:
1.If I apply for a Reentry Permit, I must use it or not? If things change I
don't have to go back to China and will stay in US.
2. How to count the time I am leaving US? From the issue date of Reentry
Permit or when I come back I need to show the flight ticket when I leave the
country?
3. How long for Reentry Permit to be approved after I summit my application?
From the i131 instruction, "a Reentry Permit may be sent to a US Embassy or
consulate or DHS office abroad for your to pick up."
But I still want to keep it in hand when I am leaving if possible.
Thanks so much for your attention. | x******n 发帖数: 93 | 2 I am in a similar situation as yours. My best try for your questions.
1. No need.
2. Your date of leaving USA.It is a serious issue if you mislead the USCIS.
They can check the record from the airline company.
3. You can leave a US address (like your friend') and ask your friend to
mail it to you when she recevied the reentry permit from USCA. |
