LPR must present admission document upon entry to U.S. or s/he is
inadmissible. Must present special immigrant visa, green card, or re-entry
permit.
Re-try permit
a) May be issued to LPRs or CRs.
b) Apply in U.S. before departure. Departure before the decision does not
effect the validity of the document and it may be picked up at consulate or
overseas DHS offices. May be issued document duiring deportation or
exclusion proceedings withi no effect on the proceedings.

发帖数: 8271 | 5 绿卡不能连续离开美国一年以上的。否则就视你要放弃永久居留权。
半年到一年以上也会raise the presumption that you want to abandon the LPR
status, which is rebuttable.
