google scholar which is about 30% higher.
Could I use both sources? And how could I reconcile the difference between
those two sources?

"The difference between the number of citations retrieved from the Google
Scholar and ISI Web of Knowledge are due to different databases.
Web of Science® provides researchers with access to the world's leading
citation databases covers only the highest impact journals worldwide. It
takes longer time for WOS to index their database than Google Scholar.
Google Scholar leads the researcher to the latest articles and it is good in
finding additional citations. Google Scholar sometimes uniquely finds
citations which are in journals and conference proceedings not indexed on
Web of Science, especially in European languages apart from English, e.g.
French, Danish, Spanish, Portuguese." |
