t talk about any research detail at all, your PL may not be convincing
enough. So I think you should talk about your research detail in a way that
anyone without similar background could understand. Just my opinion...

but i have used the term DNA in one letter.
maybe i should only use DNA in all my letters.
there are more things like this though.

什么染色体， DNA， RNA 等等，都是天书。

关于你的研究，肯定是需要些专业术语才能简洁深入地表达清楚的，只是不要用得太多；只
要你将重点放在描述你的研究对你的领域以及他人的影响上，就可以大大地提高可读性。
顺便说一下:chromosome DNA根本就不能算作专业术语了，我用了一些比这两个单词专
业不知多少倍的术语，照样也过了，虽然我不知道IO看得懂我的story没，但他肯定看
懂了我的研究的意义。
