公司请的律师,petition letter从7月开始写，昨天终于给我看了一下
我觉得不能用
我自己的条件如下：
1. US 一般学校 Ph.D in ECE
2. 20篇publications, 其中中文2篇， 其余18篇为英文（含12篇一作）
3. 英文book chapter 1章
4. 引用107 (业内平均应用 5～6), 80%以上为一作引用。
5。review: 4篇杂志manuscripts; 18 篇国际会议 submissions.
6. 4个国际会议committee member.
如此条件，我想就claim "contribution" 和 "authorship" 两条，每条多点evidence
弄强一点
结果她给我足足claim了四条，每条读起来都觉得weak，need more evidence
不是没有跟这位律师沟通过，可是她每次都直接忽略我的requests,有两次还用教训地
口气说他们有自己的一套，意思是我不该管那么多
请问大家，是不是律师都这样，客户的concern/要求都不理，他们想怎么写就怎么写？
也见过有人连petition letter都没看见也过了的，可是觉得自己没那个实力，总想把
petition letter写好点。。。

major organization 和 authorship。我想请她把 review 和 leading roles 放到
contribution 里，把 contribution 这一条夯实。斑竹觉得如何？

role. 现在不是claim 越少越好了，io看的是totality, review 放在contribution 里
并不一定能起很大作用。

leading role那个单独放，听起来挺鸡肋的，也许contribution里更好点。

1. Determine whether the alien has performed in leading or critical roles
for organizations or establishments.
In evaluating such evidence, USCIS officers must examine whether the role is
(or was) leading or critical.
If a leading role, the evidence must establish that the alien is (or was) a
leader. A title, with appropriate matching duties, can help to establish if
a role is (or was), in fact, leading.
If a critical role, the evidence must establish that the alien has
contributed in a way that is of significant importance to the outcome of the
organization or establishment’s activities. A supporting role may be
considered “critical” if the alien’s performance in the role is (or was)
important in that way. It is not the title of the alien’s role, but rather
the alien’s performance in the role that determines whether the role is (or
was) critical

律师没有告诉我为什么给我claim leading role，她写的 petition letter 关于这一
条是这样写的：
Dr.xx currently plays a leading and critical role in xx公司’s ongoing
efforts to create xx产品. 正如她的上司 xx (不是博士) attests: "......"
The utmost importance of Dr.xx's work to 公司’s business endeavors
illustrates how her role is critical to the company’s success. 她的上司 xx
confirms this, stating: “......”
感觉律师的信就是用几句过渡性质的空话把几封推荐信的重点内容引出来就算完了。就
像是一个对推荐信的paraphrase和总结。我读起来的感觉就是觉得缺乏evidence，空。
另外请问大家，我想请律师把 full list of publications 和 citation 写到
petition letter 里来 support “authorship”这一条，好不好？

list 那个，这样你的pl是不是很长很长？为啥不选几个代表paper和citations，
最强的那几个列出来呢

比如，你在微软。
2，单位给你写的推荐信
gates写信说，微软这么多年全靠你

比就OK了。建议跟律师多沟通。听说过好多你这样的case被垃圾律师搞砸的了。 |

话通了，总是简短粗暴地回答，基本等于沟通失败。。我还告了她上司，可惜好像没什
么实质作用。。
不过抱怨无用，现惟愿电话电邮催紧些能有用吧。。
