really want his letter, just wait; or you can say that you want to submit
the package by certain time (such as a month from now on to allow him some
time), whether he can send it over before that.
If you can find somebody else, you can ask more letters at the same time.

我一封信等了3个月，答应的好好的，人家就是不回来。我直接找了个中国教授（美国
高校），30分钟之内发回来了。我感激地真的要哭了。
看看我的RFE就知道，什么人写真的不重要。

虽然我是不赞同的，
但是很多人这么说， 而且第一次申请， 不听怕吃亏啊

但是谨慎起见，还是自我控制一下
我这次准备一个中国人的都不用
万不得已ref的时候再上1-2个同胞

我这次RFE不管了，什么老相好的都给我弄上。
与其等3个月，不如多上几个推荐信。
还是中国教授帮中国人！！！

但是如果等一个老美大牛，等3，4个月，我就上老中了。

I asked for letters during this summer, when quite a few people were on
vacations or trips, and the longest that I waited for was over 2 months (3
weeks to respond to my draft email, and then again several weeks to let him
finish his trip). I really had almost given up on his letter, but collecting
other letters at the same time. Luckily he signed the letter after he's
done with his trip, and I liked his letter since he cited quite a few papers
of mine.
It's like even if we wait, wait as if we don't need it, but try to get other
letters at the same time.

that s/he extremely busy and you have prepared a draft for his/her review
and editing in order to save his/her time. then u can still wait for his/her
letter while remind him/her once a while.meanwhile, prepare another letter
from someone else. |
