论文6月底答辩，肯定能过！
问题是我错过了申请今年8月份毕业，现在申请OPT也不能保证八月份批准开始工作（不
敢冒险）。
才拿到offer，雇主正在办理H1b,但是不知道八月中旬能否办下来？
我要是申请CPT，工作行吗？那这样算不算完成学位？秋季又应该选课吗？

if non-cap H1, you will get the results in July if filing PP and can start
to work.
if H1 is in industry, you cannot work until Oct 1 even if it is approved
today.

professor 职
位。电话之后，他们来了email：
It was great to speak to you today. I spoke with Human Resources about
the H-1 Visa. We need to do more paperwork on this process. I have
attached a background check form that must be completed for us to move
forward. Please complete this and fax or email it back to me. We will
start the process.
The offer is pending until we complete this process. I hope that all of
this can be completed without difficulty.
现在是：
1：看这样子他们办的不是加快的H1b，所以到八月中旬的话，他们能办下来吗？
2：我还没有答辩（只要和committee约个时间，马上就答辩了，可定过的），不过这个
会影响吗
H1b的申请吗？
3：有人说是H1b要的十月一号才生效，所以这个我要不要申请CPT啊？
谢谢了大牛们，我这个很小的私立学校，才1000多一点的学生，但是已经不容易了啊。

发帖数: 8496 | 6 it's non-cap (means your H1 is not subject to the annual cap number set by
Congress), so your school may put down the start date at any time (for
example, the filing date)
PP is premium processing service, by paying the PP fee $1250, your case will
be decided(approve/deny/RFE) in 15 days.
pre-complete OPT is the OPT you apply before you fulfill the graduation
requirement, which means you will remain a full-time student status as
defined by your school DSO. DSO was delegated a great power over your
eligibility and validity for this OPT.
post-comp OPT is the OPT you apply -90 days to +60 days around your
graduation. Once you graduate, the DSO can no longer control you. They may
still help you keeping your SEVIS entry. whether you violate post OPT will
be determined by USCIS, not by DSO. | s*****o

我不明白你申请OPT有什么险可以冒的。你OPT不用，毕了业就不能申请了。
另外要是你我就申请CPT了，3天批，就可以上班了。你今年8月不能毕业，你什么时候
才行啊？
你学校H1B照样申请。
