我报了AWARD，PUBLICATION,CONTRIBUTION。 相信不少人对如何报AWARD不是很了解。一路走来，发现EB1 对AWARD的要求非常高。具体表现在：
1. 必须是国家级甚至国际级的。也就是说省级不行。国家科技奖，发明奖，军队奖和中华医学科技奖，如果证据充分，是可以的。
2. 集体奖一定要小心。如果奖状上只有你一个人的名字，那么OK，否则容易被拒。详情请GOOGLE "Aug052010_01B2203.pdf"仔细读读这个AAO的案例
3. 给特定年龄或职业早期人群的，比如TRAVEL AWARD,POSTDOC FELLOWSHIP,YOUNG SCIENTISTS,千万不要报，否则一定被拒。因为这些奖把高年资的人群排除在外，因此被认为不符合EB1的条件。
4. 举证一定要充分。包括奖励的范围，评选过程，评选标准，一等奖二等奖三等奖的评选依据等等。评奖过程建议用FLOW CHART
5.发奖单位介绍。商业性奖励（比如联合利华奖）可能不行。
6. 该奖励其他的获奖者有无牛人。比如院士啥的，尤其是美国科学院外籍院士更好
7。媒体报道该奖情况。谁给你发的奖（如果是胡哥，温哥，本身就说明问题）
8.举证说明该奖和你的研究领域相关。比如你是做物理的，那么拿一个金鸡奖或百花奖就没用。
9. 找推荐人介绍该奖励情况以及你是因为OUTSTANDING才得的这个奖。
10.所有中文的东西，一定要翻译。由于关于奖励的中文比较难翻译，我都是找的翻译公司弄，觉得比我的翻译强多了。你们可以从下文中看出来。这个钱大家不要省。如果能翻译的信达雅，对你的申请有很大帮助。而且IO看到翻译公司的图章，心里也会高兴一些，毕竟表示你很重视

(i). Documentation of the beneficiary’s receipt of lesser nationally or internationally recognized prizes or awards for excellence in the field of endeavor.
The adjudicator asserted, “This criterion has not been met because the beneficiary’s prizes or awards appear to be local or regional in nature”. “If the petitioner believes the prizes or awards have significance in the field beyond being a student or early career award, the petitioner may submit additional information”
Below please find evidence for my qualification of this criterion.
1. Who is eligible to the award? Are there any regional limitations on competitors?
According to Chapter 3, Article 11 of the Regulations of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Awards (See Exhibit-RFE, Pg xxx), “the following institutions and scientists are welcome to recommend items for the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Awards: (I) Colleges and universities; (II) Medical institutions, scientific research institutions, and disease control institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health, State Administration of Chinese Medicine, State Food
and Drug Administration, National Family Planning Committee, People's Liberation Army General Logistics Department of Health, People's Armed Police Logistics Department of Health, the departments (bureaus) of health of all provinces, autonomous region regions, municipalities under
the central authority, and cities directly under State planning. And (III) Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Science and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. ”
Therefore, there is no regional limitation for this award because candidates can be from “all provinces, autonomous region regions, municipalities under the central authority, and cities directly under State planning”.
2.The number of awardees:
The detailed process of the award was described in Regulations of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Awards (Exhibit-RFE pg xxx). In Exhibit-RFE pg xxx please find news reports about this award from Xinhua News agency and Chinese Medical Journal (Eighty-one Medical Projects Granted the “200x Medical Science and Technology Awards”). To make it straightforward, I made a flow chart to simplify the whole process in 200x.

Thus, my first prize of Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award was extremely competitive. Only 8 first prizes honored to people who have risen to the very top of the field.
3. Selection criteria of the award:
• According to the Chapter 2, Article 6 of the Regulations of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Awards [Exhibit-RFE pg xxx],
“Chinese Medical Science and Technology Awards will be granted to the science and technology workers and institutions that have made outstanding contributions in explaining natural phenomena, features, and laws in basic and application medical research.”
• In the Award Scopes and Selection Criteria [Exhibit-RFE pg xxx], the term "outstanding contributions" shall meet the following criteria:
(1) Never been discovered or elucidated before; (2) With significant scientific value; and (3) Universally acknowledged by national and international medical professional fields.
• My award was the First Prize which only granted to those who “had achieved scientific breakthrough and comprehensive progress, are among the global leaders in the academic field, are accepted and widely quoted in the academic circles, have promoted the development of this subject and their subfields or related subjects, or have significant influence on economic construction and the development of the society”. [Exhibit-RFE pgxx]
4. Significance and reputation of the award:
The Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award is an important award with great significance and reputation. This has been evidenced by:
• How many prizes or awards are awarded each year: 81 awards, only 8 first place awards
• Media reports about the award: From 2001 to 2010, all the award conferences of this award were always reported in multiple authoritative media in China such as People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, etc [Exhibit B,
pg 48, 50, 61]. Guangming Daily is a national newspaper, official media of Chinese government, with a wide impact in China and in the world [Exhibit B, pg 62]. People’s Daily is among the largest, most influential and authoritative newspapers in China with current circulation of 3 million [Exhibit B, pg 63].
• Place to present the award: My award was presented in Great Hall of People in China. The Great Hall of People in China is equivalent to the Capitol Hill of the USA in Washington DC. [Exhibit B, page 48,50,58]
• Previous winners of the award: There are several top scientists who won this award.

5. My award is beyond being a student or early career award:
As presented above: 1. Documentary evidence about previous winners who enjoy national or international acclaim established how the award was given for excellence in my field; and 2. the criteria used to give the award, the high competition of the award, and the nationwide competitors for the award, concurred that my award was beyond being a student or early career award.
6. Reputation of the organization granting the award: about CMA.
My award was granted by the Chinese Medical Association (CMA). Similar to the American Medical Association (AMA) in the U.S., CMA is the largest and most authoritative non-profit academic organization in China. Established in 1915, the CMA currently counts 500,000 members, 83 specialty societies, and 16 working departments. It also publishes 123 medical journals.[see Exhibit-B, pg 51 in my initial petition].
7. This award is related to my field in biomedical research:
This award was granted for my great contribution in the establishment of xxx. The establishment xxx greatly helped me and other scientists. I published twelve research papers, and five of which were published in international renowned journals such as xxx [Exhibit-RFE pgxxx].
My master advisor and former employer, Dr. xxx, states:
“Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, sponsored by Chinese Medical Association, is the highest-level national prize to award a doctor or a medical researcher who has made outstanding contribution to the development of Chinese medical science and technology. This award is extremely competitive and only the very top doctors or researches whose projects are extremely excellent can stand out from the crowd”. [See
