What does this October line exactly mean?
My case is that I am a post-doc in an university holding non-cap h1b. If i
can find a job in industry, the company applies h1b in April, Do I have to
wait until October? If it is true, I think no company will hire me and wait
for so long. | O**U
发帖数: 100 | 2 Based on my understanding, if you can find a job right now, you can apply
for H1B now and be effective now since the cap of 2011 is still not reached.
However, if you find a job after April 1st, you have to apply for 2012 H1B
and wait till Oct to start your work. I am not sure if there is some
buffering time.

profit H1b to Regular H-1b based on this.
