老父亲来美国。他是那种典型的中国父母，为子女省吃俭用一辈子，自己不舍得花一分
钱。70多了，患帕金森，但是一生酷爱旅游。
自己在美国生活，无法在父母身边尽孝，所以他来之后，就想带他去次CRUISE，让他享
受一下，他又爱旅游。
本来，想去加勒比海CRUISE，我打电话到INS问，像我H1，没有有效回美签证，但护照
和I-94有效，可不可以。接电话的小姐不确定，又去问了一下，然后答复是可以，回美
没问题。
我是个谨慎的人，特意给我的移民律师发邮件再次询问。（她是个很有经验的人，而且
总是准时回电邮）。她建议我不要去。说美属地之外的地方，恐怕有麻烦。我就再次发
电邮问，可不可以参加去加拿大的CRUISE，她说没问题。
我这才开始订票。是纽约出发，停留两个加拿大港口城市，然后回纽约。之后去纽约加
拿大大使馆申请了去加拿大的入境签证。
就是因为不信任船务公司和海关人的办事能力，我特意带了那份鲍威尔签署的
Automatic Revalidations的文件，以及我和律师之间的电邮，其中还有我告诉律师，
我给INS打电话，得到他们肯定答复的内容。

past the point a phone call can fix it.
The ship crew chose to err on their safe side to avoid possible trouble.
They wrongfully refused you to board the ship.
First write a letter to the headquarter/CEO. Attach evidence to show you can
come back w/o a new visa. Point out the crew wrongfully refused you, and
cause your loss (reversation plus other cost). Ask for a full refund and
compensation for other cost. You don't need |

small claim court. The max compensation in a small claim court in most
states is $5K so it should cover your case. It costs only $30 to $50 to sue.
Do not call. Phone call w/o recording is nothing in a lawsuit. If you do
call, do not record conversation w/o annoucing you are going to record first.
If you paid with a credit card, dispute the charge with the cc company. cc
company in such case may not side with you but it |
