The Edmonton Oilers traded Ryan Smyth to the New York Islanders in what has
to be the most surprising move of the day. This was not only a clear signal
that the Oilers have given up on this season but that they are once again
going through another (maybe minor) rebuilding phase.

i would say good move oilers.
next season, move the whole team to south of the board. maybe to mr. bill so
it will be called seattle microsofters and wont make playoffs forever.

with all the booming energy economy and oil dollars, edmonton should be
able to affort a lot more.
Pens even consider to move back to canada. oilers' management sucks.

go back 5 or 10 years, it's not possible for just thinking about it.

years ago.
