的机票贵得离谱。看来看去，若要找到比较合适的区间，就要在easter island呆上6天
，值得吗？还有是否在atacama呆上4天合适吗？
我看了时间表以及自己想去的地方，easter island, santiago, atacama, 做了以下时

是个州立公园，位于Pudge Sounds的中段，西雅图的西侧。我们选择从奥林匹亚半岛上
的Manchester放船，除了因为这里与岛西北角的营地直线距离最短，还因为这段水域不
需要跨过繁忙的货轮运输线，相对比较安全。早上7点半到Issaquash的Kayak Academy
领船，拿到了一艘Tiderace的Xcite-8。第一次自己运船，在车顶固定结实以后高速上
开着还是非常稳的，完全没有影响。
到地方之后开始装船，船舱的空间说是比backpack大得多，但其实packing起来要
tricky得多。主要Xcite-8的后舱面很平，所以舱里的空间被压缩的很矮，而且舱口挺
小的，导致舱里最深的两端不太容易取放东西。我带了6L水，都放在座位附近。用了一
个35L的防水袋装所有camping的东西，长宽fit后舱倒是刚合适，不过有点高，挤啊挤
、压啊压很艰难的才给摁进去。Packing最重要的就是balance，左右前后都需要。我因

上peace boat前
往Channel Islands测试相机。
peace boat是定期前往Channel Islands的潜水船中的一条，似乎和Spectre齐名。如果
大家还记
得山妮的帖子的话，Spectre可是以tri-tip闻名。 Peace boat稍新于Spectre，三潜$
100包括
食物，air fill, Nitrox extra，外加一条充气摩托艇（想不到中间还用了一把）。
6点跳上peace boat前往目的地，Anacapa Island。刚出港口，阳光灿烂，狂风巨作。
完啦，上船
后狂吞的早餐交还了船东，自个立成娱乐对象。船长宣布更改目的地，peace将前往
Santa Cruz

的人有帮助。
我们从美东出发飞到maui，最后从maui回来，一共9天，其中两天在飞机上，所以实际在
夏威夷的时间是7天。前三天maui，第四天早晨飞big island，然后第六天傍晚飞回mau
i，第七天晚上从maui飞美东。看到这里大家就知道坐飞机多折腾了，尤其是从maui到b
ig island的岛间飞机是小飞机，行李托运限制和普通飞机不一样，pack 和re-pack这些
行李就花了很多精力时间。所以建议要玩多个岛的同学，到达和出发的机场可以考虑定
不同地方。我们当时本来只准备玩一个岛，机票一早就定好了，后来觉得时间充足就决
定去两个，晕菜了。下面正式进入游记了。
第一天一大早从家里出发，带了煮好的茶叶蛋外加方便面还有饭盒（有点像民工，哈哈
）出发去机场。我们一共要转机两次，每次转机时间都不多；飞机上每段都不提供meal
，机场转机买东西也来不及，所以这些茶叶蛋就填肚子了。晚上到达maui已经是饥肠辘

plum island之所以叫island,因为它确实曾经是个island,大家路过的那个桥把它跟陆
地连起来
了.那个桥下是park river,一端连着marrimack river,另一端在南面通向一个海弯.
大家钓鱼的地方是island的北侧,靠近marrimack river入海口的地方.这个地方鱼很多,
人更多.
西北側是marrimack river变宽的地方,大家开车的时候可能见到了.这个地方叫joppa
flat. 这个
地方是船钓和kayak fishing的天堂.麻省北岸最多产的地方之一. island的东侧是海边
,一般大家
叫ocean front,大鱼也很多,不过没保障,鱼五月刚到和夏天的时候,鱼比较多些.尤其是

第四天的航行路线
至于Deception Island名称的由来，有一种说法是，Deception Island外表看起来象一
个小岛，但实际上它是一个环形的火山口。从一个狭窄的缺口可以进入内海，别有洞天
。这个狭窄的入口只有230米宽，叫做Neptune’s Bellows。今天的风力很强，通过入
口的时候船走得很慢。
我们的登陆地点是捕鲸湾（Whalers Bay）。沿着山坡向上可以走到Neptune’s Window
，环形的山体在这里有一个豁口。山势不过100米高，从这里可以看到火山口的外侧。
这里有很多岬海燕（Cape Petrels）和它们的幼鸟在这里筑巢。
Deception Island是Chinstrap企鹅的聚居地。我们下山的时候，正好有几只企鹅从海

标 题: 猜想：island bottom不大可能是一年的bottom

今年已经出现几次island bottom,最近的一次是6/4。我忽然有个猜想，觉得island
bottom一般都是短期bottom，而一年的大市底部，不大可能是island bottom。
这是一个忽如其来的想法，就像数学里的神马哥德巴赫猜想一样。呵呵
这种island bottom，一般来说都是黑庄或者hft通过突发事件/新闻弄出来的，对于一
年的重大底部，许多hedge fund盯着，是应该不大可能出现island bottom的，gap当天
就会被立即补掉。
不知道我的这种野鸡推算靠不靠谱。 |

Mercer Island residents are advised to boil their tap water before drinking
after test samples collected Friday showed the presence of E. coli, said
city officials.
The test results indicated that the water may not be safe to drink.
King County Public Health officials ordered all food establishments to close

的时候去
跟前台说可否退掉这间，当时前台Cindy满口答应说他们不会扣hotel.com的第二间房的
钱，而且
告诉我，一般按他们的经验hotel.com也不会要我们的钱.然后,cindy只给了我一间房的
钥匙。
结果第二天上网一查，hotel.com还是扣了我们两间房的钱。打了几个电话去问hotel.
com，他们
都说去和Treasure Island交涉了，但是结果都是一样：Treasure Island已经扣了我们
两间房的
钱，所以他们没法子，也必须收我们两间房的钱
于是我们又电话到Treasure Island，接电话的，还有后面所谓的supervisor都说他们
不能告诉我
们怎么和hotel.com交易的，是什么商业机密，然后说Cindy绝对不会跟我可以退钱给
hotel.com这
样的话，他绝对相信Cindy的人品云云，还说是我当时主动放弃另一间房间的钥匙的。
这就是放屁
了，我根本没说过这样的话，完全是被她骗了。

I just went to visit Hawai'i not too long ago; this place is so unspeakably
awesome that the memories will stay with you for a lifetime. So i've been
thinking of going there again and hopping 3~4 more islands sometime this
summer. I'm quite an expert on most things there, even know some stuff
better than the famous 蓝宝书: where to visit, where to stay and where to

（之前去PR直接Drivers License，不经过custom或者immigration）。在文摘区看了一
下，答案都不明确，而且是好几年以前的收藏，所以想在此问一下。
我现在status是F1 OPT Cap Gap，OPT extend到9月30日，新的H1B已经approve，可是
目前还没有收到I797表格，（两三天前收到通知，估计3周内能收到797）。
1. 去US Virgin Islands，离开的时候，机场回收I94吗？
2. 返回美国的时候需要经过Immigration吗？如果经过的话，Immigration是在US
Virgin Islands的机场，还是在美国本土的机场（比如JFK）。
3. 在哪里可以找到官方的解释／答案？
我在网上查了一下，看到大多数的说法是，在US Virgin Islands反美的时候，在USVI
的机场会有Immigratioin检查是否是美国公民，如果不是的话，要出示相关文件证明在
